Dr. Violet Dream is a Kansas City native whose passion for music has transcended borders and entertained audiences across the United States for over 15 years. With fun-loving energy, selection versatility, and a knack for delivering funky sounds, she is a sought-after DJ in the area and specializes in boutique events.

Drawing from her background in indie/commercial radio and music therapy, she brings a unique perspective to her craft. She sees DJing as a therapeutic experience, a portal to connect with people, and a medium to unleash joy and celebrate life. 

 

Her long-time passion lies in exploring the cross-pollinations of musical genres and styles. Every performance is a vibrant tapestry woven together with elements of funk, soul, R&B, hip-hop/rap, jazz, world, disco, house, techno, roots, americana, and everything in between. A customized experience that blends past classics with fresh, cutting-edge beats, creating an atmosphere that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking.

 

She is also more than just a DJ – as a former textile student, she has a keen eye for design and customizes theme costumes for each event. Every performance is an opportunity to showcase imagination, flare, and style that perfectly matches the vibe of the occasion!
